Background : In recent years, the Confederation has been actively engaged in reducing the wage gap between women and men, in particular by supporting the Dialogue on equal pay initiated by the Social Partners. This initiative had not the expected success, and ended in March 2014. End of 2015, the Federal Council submitted for consultation a draft law to force companies with over 50 employees to regularly check equal pay between men and women and to control its implementation by third parties. Currently, in Switzerland the wage gap between women and men is 15.1%, of which 40% is attributable to discrimination.
In this context, prevention is better than cure. EQUAL SALARY- certified companies have taken up the challenge. As ambassadors, they inform and engage their colleagues into taking a stand for equal pay!
